Belfast business 'blown away' after successful run club collab

Nine Squared x We Run Belfast

Over 200 people took to the streets of Belfast on Tuesday in a collaboration between a local running community and a number of businesses.

The We Run Belfast crew, who run each week in town, teamed up Nine Squared Coffee on Queen Street, Origin Coffee Roaster, Loada Balls and international brand Lululemon. When first advertised across social media, more than 200 expressed an interest in just three hours.

First established in 2018, We Run Belfast was set up by people who love to run, and has evolved into a non-judgemental, and no-pressure running community. They say they "don’t believe in running to beat people" but welcome people of all ages, paces and abilities to connect through exercise, a bit of craic and cup of tea at the end.

Nine Squared Coffee opened in Belfast in February and has been a huge hit, having already established themselves at their first coffee shop in Newry.

Speaking to Belfast Live after Tuesday's get-together, Nine Squared Coffee's Neil Cole said: "We were blown away by the response to our run club collaboration with We Run Belfast, Origin Coffee Roasters and Lululemon — over 200 sign-ups in just three hours! The turnout on the day was incredible, and the energy from the Belfast community was unmatched.

"From free coffee to exclusive raffles, it was a celebration of movement, connection and good vibes. Most importantly, it was a reminder that community doesn’t care about your pace — just that you show up. We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us and can’t wait to host more events like this soon."
